Granton Village Board Hears MSA Update

-The Granton Village Board heard an MSA update at their meeting on Tuesday.The EPA approved the Phosphorus Variance Program. The Phosphorus Variance application was signed on March 2nd and they received e-mail notification from MSA that the application was submitted to the DNR, on March 7th. The Project Completion Certification for the Total Electric, Lane Tank, and Earth was also signed on March 3rd. The board also heard about several projects on hold until the spring.
Also, the village received two bids for removing 1 large maple at 208 W 3rd Street and 2 large maples at 209 W 3rd Street. Stumpy’s and Grumpy’s quoted $3100 and Trees R Us quoted $2800. Both bids included chip brushing and insurance certificates. However, the insurance papers provided by Trees R Us do not include the name of the insurance company and this will need to be verified if the bid is awarded to them. The board did approve awarding the tree bid to Trees R Us for 2800.00 provided the insurance is confirmed.
