One of Two People Arrested After High Speed Chase Near Spencer Sentenced

-One of two people arrested after a high speed chase north of Spencer was sentenced in Clark County Court on Wednesday.Back in December of last year, the Loyal Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding, but the operator refused to stop and began a high speed chase with the officer. The Clark County Sheriff’s Department then assisted with the chase. The chase ended after the vehicle hit another vehicle on Highway 13 north of Spencer. At that time, the driver, Eric Sutton, surrendered. His passenger, Brittany Sather, ran when the car stopped, but was located a short while later.
Both Sutton and Sather are facing multiple charges including possession, carrying a concealed weapon, OWI, eluding an officer and more. During her court appearance on Wednesday, Sather was found guilty of resisting or obstructing an officer. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping were dismissed and read in. She was given credit for the 74 days already spent in jail.
