Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.District Administrator Todd Felhofer reported on likely topics to come out of Madison this next budget cycle, including several that were discussed last budget, which includes limiting referendum opportunities, transgender issues, energy efficiency exemption and educational saving accounts, which is private vouchers with a new name. He also stated the 2016-17 certified tax levy was submitted to the DPI, the milk break contract was updated and the district received $30,000 more in AGR funding for 2016-17. He also stated the district will be participating with all Cloverbelt schools in the Cloverbelt Conquers Cancer event during the basketball season. Greenwood’s night will be January 24th. Finally, he stated an open enrollment advertising campaign will begin on January 9th, a committee will be formed to look into the development of a Greenwood Alumni Wall of Distinction and a “Cops vs. Kids” basketball game fundraiser for the “Shop with a Cop” program was a great event.
High School Principal Todd Fisher reported on the on-going work with the math curriculum and the math committee will be meeting with the CESA 10 curriculum consultant on November 17th. The Elementary Parents-Educators Community has elected officers and has hit the ground running providing a meal for staff during parent-teacher conferences and has started scheduling events. The group will meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the elementary school. Finally, he stated the Veterans’ Day Program was held on Friday November 11th and the High School Drama department’s One-Act Play will be performing at the state competition.
