Kristi's Thorp Dairy Bar Cafe Celebrating 10 Years, Part 1

-Kristi’s Thorp Dairy Bar Café is celebrating their 10 year anniversary this year.I spoke with Kristi on Friday and she talked about the history of the Dairy Bar Café.
"We've been here since 2006, so it's our 10 year anniversary. We're actually having a ribbon cutting this Friday at 4:15pm. I kinda liked waitressing and that when I was younger when I was in high school. And then I had a chance to lease the building and then I, it turned out, I ended up buying it this year in February."
She said the experience of running the business the past 10 years has been great.
"Overall it's been great. Your customers turn into family. And then without my mom and my children, I mean I've got two daughters and a son. They all work for me. My mom helps me. My step mom helps me. So, we've got four generations going!"
As Kristi mentioned, they’ll be holding a ribbon cutting this Friday to celebrate their anniversary and she’ll be providing $5 breakfast and lunch specials next week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to celebrate as well. Coming up on Tuesday, Kristi will talk about the hard work of running a business.
