Monday, October 31st, 2016 -- 11:19 AM

-A Neillsville woman charged with breaking into vehicles at two Neillsville businesses was sentenced for the incident.

Back in February, several vehicle break-ins occurred at two businesses in Neillsville. Jessica Hackett and her boyfriend, Nathanial Clem, were going on a road trip to Lake Superior and thought it would be fun to burglaries vehicles and businesses on their way. She entered a guilty plea to two counts of theft of moveable property and six other counts were dismissed and read in. She was sentenced to 2 years’ probation, 200 hours of community service and an imposed and stayed jail sentence of 9 months.

She faced similar charges in Eau Claire County and was sentenced to 5 years’ probation, 3 years’ extended supervision and an imposed and stayed jail sentence of 2 years. She’s still facing charges in Jackson County Court and will be appearing there later this week.
