Granton School Board Approves Tax Levy at Annual Meeting

-The Granton School Board approved the tax levy at the district’s Annual Meeting on Monday.During a budget hearing, the previous school year’s budget was presented as was this years and a review of Fund 72 and Fund 80 for the district. During the Annual Meeting, a tax levy of $1,155,146 dollars was approved. Broken down, that’s $1,118,959 for the General Fund, $6,187 for Fund 39 or Debt Retirement and $30,000 for Fund 80 or the Community Service Fund. The board also approved leaving their salaries the same.
The board approved the resolution to supply milk for the 4K-5th grade milk break, approved a resolution authorizing the school board to borrow for operation cash flow and voters authorized the school board to sell school district property. Finally, during a special meeting, the board approved the tax levy and the district’s budget for this school year.
