Neillsville Man Charged with 5th OWI Enters Plea

Friday, October 21st, 2016 -- 11:07 AM

-A Neillsville man charged with his 5th OWI entered a plea in Clark County Court on Thursday.

According to court records, on April 17th, around 9pm, a male driver was seen drinking while driving near Kwik Trip. An officer noticed several traffic violations by the driver and the officer pulled the driver over when he nearly hit a curb. The officer told the driver, identified as 26-year-old Thaddeus Nolan, they had received complaints about the vehicle and he noticed a can with “12% alcohol” in Nolan’s cup holder.

When the officer tried to have Nolan perform the field sobriety tests, Nolan took of his socks and showed the officer the bottom of his feet stating he couldn’t because of his corns. Nolan has been charged with 5th OWI and 5th Operating with a PAC. During his arraignment on Thursday, he entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. However, a plea/sentencing hearing has been set for November 4th.
