Marathon County Dairy Farmer Asking for Help Finding Stolen Cows

Friday, October 21st, 2016 -- 8:03 AM

(Mike Warren, WDLB) -A Marathon County dairy farmer is asking for the public’s help in finding seven cows that were stolen from his dairy operation north of Marshfield.

Brian Forrest says four springing heifers and three fully-grown cows were taken from Maple Ridge Dairy at County Trunk “E” and Macarthur Street October 4th. Forrest said all seven animals were pregnant and due within two months. And he says they’re valued at more than 15-thousand dollars.

Forrest says he’s talked with his employees, and does not suspect any of them. The farm where the theft occurred is located four miles west of Stratford and nine miles north of Marshfield. He is offering a 500-dollar reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information is asked to contact Troy Bemke at the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department, or call Brian directly at 715-650-0267.
