Board of Commissioners of Public Lands Approve Clark County Loan

-The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands approved a State Trust Fund Loan totaling $1,550,000 to Clark County to finance road construction.The Board approved loans totaling slightly more than $7 million at their meeting on Tuesday which included not only Clark County’s but one for the Owen-Withee School District to finance public works projects at $1,750,000.
The BCPL operates entirely on program revenue, without taxpayer money and distributes more than 96 cents of every dollar of interest earned on BCPL State Trust Fund investments to Wisconsin’s public schools. The 2016 earnings of $37.7 million are the largest distribution in the agency’s history and provide the sole source of state funding for K 12 public school library materials.
