One Year Old Killed by Horse Near Greenwood

-On Wednesday October 12th, just after 6pm, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of 1-year-old that was run over by a horse.The caller advised the child was breathing but was in and out of consciousness. The accident had taken place at N8501 Owen Avenue, in the Township of Eaton. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene with the Greenwood Area Ambulance and the St. Joseph’s Hospital Spirit ground Ambulance. The child was transported to the St. Joseph’s Hospital where the child died from their injuries.
Initial investigation indicates that the child was inside the barn with the child’s father when the accident happened. The Clark County Sheriff and Coroner’s Office is continuing investigation into the incident. The names are being withheld at this time pending notification of family members.
