"Small Business Academy" Class Discussed at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council discussed several items at their meeting on Tuesday.The council discussed sponsoring a “Small Business Academy” class. This item was first discussed during a Connect Communities Committee meeting held on September 26th. The classes are a part of a package from the Indianhead Community Action Agency. There would be 5 classes with various speakers and they discuss the mechanics of starting a business, feasibility planning, business plans, funding, marketing, social media and more. The classes would be about 2 hours long and the target is 10 per class. Connect Communities would sponsor the classes and take care of advertising and facilities.
Some other items discussed during that meeting included ordering Downtown Revolution signs for empty buildings, moving forward with the Downtown Building Inventory project with Melissa Kono, CNRED Agent with the UW-Extension Office, and setting their budget for next year at $4,000.
