Security Health Plan Announces New COO

-Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc., has named Jennifer Hockin as its chief operating officer.Hockin will oversee strategic development and operations for Security Health Plan and its subsidiary, Security Administrative Services, LLC. Hockin brings more than two decades of leadership, health care financing and relationship management experience to Security Health Plan. She began her health care career at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, implementing innovative value-based financing models with providers from the payer’s perspective as the director of contract management.
She continued to work with payers, this time from the provider perspective, as the administrative director at Aspirus Network, Inc. In these roles, she learned to balance the payer’s attempts to bend the cost-curve and lower health care costs with the provider’s needs for delivering high quality health care at competitive costs to patients.
