Final Committee Reports at Recent Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council spent most of their meeting on Tuesday of last week hearing the various committee reports.The council heard the report from the Neillsville Community Fire Hall Board’s meeting held on September 15th. They heard an update on funds and it was stated that the crack in the outside wall has been repaired and they’re going to paint the meeting room. The board approved their 2017 budget at $12,650 which is the same as last year. During the communications portion of the meeting, one council member talked about a webinar regarding co-ops and another encouraged everyone to come down to Neillsville Autumn Harvest Fest.
Finally, the council heard the report from the Neillsville Public Library Board meeting held on September 20th. They discussed keeping patron information after they use a computer and using the basement as a play area, but due to several issues that idea wasn’t pursued any further. They also had a brief presentation and made some minor changes to their budget. There were some concerns about the library’s lawn care as well. There were several other items discussed including a library redesign, a new substitute member to library staff, a user agreement for the 3D printer, fundraisers, a teen volunteer program, salary, future events and an infringement notice about WIFI availability.
