Committee Reports at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council spent most of their meeting on Tuesday of last week hearing the various committee reports.The council heard the Airport Commission report from their meeting on September 14th. It’s been almost a year since the runway construction project and it’s holding up very well including the improved drainage. The landscaping contractor came back this spring and did some touch up work. They also approved the airport’s 2017 budget. The 2016 budget held up well, but there were some areas that it was suggested funds be moved around in including grounds care and management services.
The council heard the report from the Commission on Economic Development meeting held on September 15th. They approved changing the city to a full page in the new Clark County Visitors Guide at a cost of $550. They also set their budget for 2017, which remained exactly the same as last years at $29,433. Finally, the council heard the Heritage Days Committee report from September 15th. The committee approved their budget at $1,500, discussed bands for next year’s event and discussed events and a possible logo.
