Neillsville Man Charged with Sexual Assault Appears in Court for a Motion Hearing

-A Neillsville man charged with sexual assault appeared in Clark County Court on Friday for a motion hearing.Randy Magnus is charged with two counts of 2nd degree sexual assault of an intoxicated victim and two counts of 2nd degree sexual assault of an unconscious victim for two separate incidences that occurred while he was employed as a male nurse at Memorial Medical Center. Two female patients came forward and said that Magnus sexually assaulted them back in July and August of 2015. Magnus denied having any contact with the first victim and stated the second victim initiated the contact. When this came to light he was immediately fired from the hospital.
During the hearing, several motions were denied including a motion to sever counts, a motion to bar admission of DNA evidence and a motion to admit offer to take a polygraph. One motion, to admit specific instance of conduct bearing truthfulness was left open for the now. Another motion, to introduce other acts of evidence, will be done another day. Another motion hearing was set for November 21st.
