Neillsville School Board's Annual Meeting, Final

-The Neillsville School Board held their Annual Meeting on Monday.The board and residents present also approved several other items at the meeting including next year’s meeting date and authorizing the district to sell unused or outdated supplies and equipment. They didn’t need to approve any temporary borrowing for cash flow purposes and they did approve the board members’ salaries and reimbursement for per diem and expenses. Its $100 for per diem and the salary for board president is $2,500, $2,100 for vice president, $2,300 for clerk and $2,100 for the treasurer and member.
The board also held a regular board meeting before the annual meeting. They approved a nursing contract with a CNA at $20 an hour and they’ll be on site from 8am-3pm Monday-Friday. This is different from last year when they used a nurse at $34 an hour. They also approved two donations, one from Virginia Meyer who donated five backpacks and another from United Way on behalf of Figi’s who donated school supplies. They also heard a brief Administrator’s Report from Mr. Gaier. In employment matters, they approved a contract for Ben Perushek for a High School English Teacher position, a contract for Michelle Anding for a FCSE teach position, a Memorandum of Understanding for Michelle Anding and a contract for Tia Opelt for a SPED teacher position.
