Missing Boy Found Near Owen After 5 Hour Search

-On August 29, 2016 at 8:07 PM, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call of a missing 6 year old autistic boy in the township of Green Grove. The caller advised that their 6 year old son had been missing for about 2 hours at that time and they were unable to locate him after conducting their own search of the area.Owen-Withee, Curtiss Fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene as well as Sheriff’s Office personal, including K9 units to assist in locating the missing child. Upon arrival and conducting an on scene search it was learned the search area was very large and more resources were needed.
At that time resources from the fire departments in Thorp, Loyal, Greenwood, Colby, Abbotsford, Dorchester Fire and EMS as well as Spirit Air were requested. The response was overwhelming and rapid from area departments. Search lights, ATV, and manpower were brought to the scene.
The child was located in a hayfield on the property at around 11:30 pm. He was uninjured and in good condition.
