Initial investigation indicates that a car being driven by Karla Albarran, 24 years old, was south bound on Sandhill Ave when a tractor pulling a chopper box driven by Aaron Leiby, 20 years old, failed to yield from a stop sign while traveling east on Hickory Rd and entered the intersection. Karla was unable to stop and collided with the tractor. The tractor came to rest on its side in the southeast ditch and the vehicle came to rest on its wheels in the southeast ditch. The chopper box remained on the roadway.

Karla was transporting her 3 children in the back seat ages 3, 6, and 8. The 6 year old was not properly restrained in a child safety seat and the operator was not wearing a seatbelt. The 3 and 8 year old children were properly restrained. All occupants of the vehicle had incapacitating injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle. Everyone in the vehicle was transported to the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. The driver of the tractor was not injured. Everyone involved was from the Dorchester area.
