Quiet Night for Neillsville City Council

Wednesday, August 24th, 2016 -- 9:24 AM

-Compared to some of the previous meetings, the Neillsville City Council had a quiet night on Tuesday.

The council approved the resignation of Neillsville Officer Jacob Aumann, which was mentioned by Chief Scott Klueckmann at the last meeting. They also approved filling Officer Aumann’s position using candidates that were acquired when Officer Bembnister left. They council also discussed the Clark County Youth Hockey Plans and heard an update on the Visitor Center the city would like to create.

The council heard the Public Works Report with the usual amount of work being done in the city. The Public Works Department is also looking at budgeting for street construction next year, so it asked council members to check streets in their wards to see what needs to be done. They also heard a report from the Historic Preservation Commission meeting held on August 10th. The commission discussed the 2017 calendar, the Christmas Tour of Historic Homes and more.
