Administrators' Reports at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting (District)

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.District Administrator Bob Houts reminded the board of the upcoming WASB Regional Meeting on Wednesday, September 21st at the Holiday Inn in Rothschild. Rick Eloranta and Charlie Milliren indicated they will be attending. Others will be contacted separately. The schedule for the two days of in-service for teachers on August 24th and 25th was discussed. A list of items the teachers wish to discuss in a future “meet and greet” was presented to the Board.
After a closed session, the board also discussed the elimination of a teaching position. The board was advised that due to the reduced number of students in the 1st grade, an elementary teaching position has been eliminated. Avery Seubert has been told that she will not have a job with the District for the 2016-17 school year.
