Thorp Man Makes Initial Appearance for Sexual Assault

-A Thorp man charged for sexually assaulting a young girl made an initial appearance in Clark County Court on Wednesday.According to court records, a 72-year-old Thorp man assaulted a young girl who was around 6 at the time of the assaults. The records went on to say that the assaults occurred at the man’s home and he told her not to tell anyone.
The man has been charged with repeated sexual assault of a child. During his initial appearance we waived the reading of the complaint and the preliminary hearing. He also entered a not guilty plea to the charge against him. He’ll be back in court in September.
