Clark County UW-Extension's Walking & Talking Crops Field Day

-Clark County UW - Extension is asking farmers to join them on Tuesday, July 5th from 12:30 ??" 3:00 p.m. at the James Byler farm at N16014 State Highway 73 north of Thorp for a Walking & Talking Crops field day.The focus for the day will be alfalfa. Richard Halopka, CCA, Clark County UW-Extension Crops & Soils Agent, will discuss and demonstrate scouting for nutritional deficiencies in forages and forage nutrient requirements. Bryan Jensen, UW Integrated Pest Management Coordinator, will discuss and demonstrate scouting techniques for insects in the field. Both educators will discuss and demonstrate disease scouting in alfalfa.
Farmers or agronomy professionals who attend will receive an A4075 Alfalfa Management Guide. Continuing education credits are available for agronomy professionals attending. If you have additional questions we will be glad to answer them that day so plan on attending. This field day is sponsored by Eberly Ag Services of Thorp. Pre-registration is appreciated.
