Report of Officers at Neillsville City Council Meeting
Friday, June 17th, 2016 -- 10:48 AM
-The Neillsville City Council heard the Report of Officers at their meeting on Tuesday. For the month of May, the Neillsville Police Department had 176 complaints, 81 service calls, 76 traffic citations, 68 traffic warnings, 3 crash investigations, 18 ordinance citations, 19 adult arrests, 8 cases referred to the D.A., 2 juvenile cases and 23 parking citations. Most of the numbers are in line with what the department saw in May of 2015.
For other notable activity, Chief Klueckmann stated that Neillsville Officer Aaron Bembnister will be resigning at the end of June and begin working at the Clark County Sheriff’s Department. They anticipate it will take 3-4 months to find a new officer for the department. Officer Bembnister’s unused wage will pay for the overtime the other officers will see to fill his absence until a new officer is hired. The officer also attended several events, made several arrests for various violations and, on a stranger note, even arrested and charged a man that ran naked through the lobby of the Super 8 Motel on Friday the 13th.
