New Exhibit at the Learning Center at The Highground

-The Highground has a new exhibit at the learning center for the months of June and July.The Unknown Soldier is a series of large scale photographs of severely wounded young soldiers returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Shot by photographer, David Jay, The Unknown Soldier documents the lives and stories of these young men and women upon their return home. The Unknown Soldier will be on display in The Highground’s Learning Center for the months of June and July 2016. It is free of charge and open to the public daily from 9am-5pm.
And as this fitting quote about the exhibit states: "Ultimately, The Unknown Solider is not about war, it has a deeper message, one of humanity. Its images transcending the politics, race, religion, greed and fear that drove us here . . . illuminating the scars that unite us all. Perhaps it is about peace."
