Withee Man Sentenced in Waupaca County for Child Neglect

-A Withee man arrested in Waupaca County for narcotics and child neglect was sentenced in Waupaca County Court on Monday.On December 5th of 2015, authorities were dispatched to the Comfort Suites in Waupaca for a report of an overdose. When authorities arrived, they discovered Matthew Faude trying to revive Danielle Giwojna. She was revived and taken to the hospital. Both Faude and Giwonja admitted to using heroin. They also reported that their 2-year-old son was in the room or in another room when they were doing drugs.
During his court appearance on Monday, Faude was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, obstructing an officer and neglecting a child. Three possession charges were dismissed outright. He was sentenced to 1 year probation and he must pay costs and supervision fees. Giwonja will be in court on Thursday for a plea and sentencing hearing.
