Memorial Medical Center Will Begin Transitioning to New Medical Record Platform Next Week

-Memorial Medical Center will be transitioning their electronic medical record platform to a new platform called Athenahealth.Athenahealth is highly ranked from both the healthcare worker and patient. MMC anticipates several improvements with the implementation of Athenahealth including care coordination with increased record visibility and collaboration between providers of organizations beyond MMC, patient engagement because of 24/7 online accessibility to your health record, with other features coming soon like the ability to pay bills, schedule appointments and leave messages for your healthcare team and medical billing because when Athenahealth is fully installed, coding, billing, insurance company interface and collections will improve.
Beginning June 14th, the clinic division will begin utilizing Athenahealth with the hospital and outpatient divisions beginning in October. “We anticipate a learning curve during our implementation phase but we are very excited to bring this technology to Clark County,” stated MMC’s CEO, Ryan Neville.
