Weber's Farm Store Recognized by Central Wisconsin Agri-Business Committee

Monday, June 6th, 2016 -- 7:41 AM

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -A Marshfield milk processing business has been honored by the Central Wisconsin Agri-Business Committee as its 2016 Friend of Agriculture recipient.

Weber's Farm Store was recognized during the Mayor's Breakfast on Friday, which is part of Marshfield's annual Dairyfest celebration. Weber's Farm is a fifth generation Century Farm that started in 1904. In its earliest years, they delivered milk to area customers by horse and wagon. In 1955, Weber's Farm Store was opened as a retail outlet located on the farm site, which allowed customers an opportunity bring their own containers to be filled with pasteurized whole milk.

The facility, which is now owned by Ken and Joellen (Weber) Heiman, offers milk and other dairy products for sale in a modern retail store. The family will also co-host the 2018 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in Wood County along with other neighbors. The Central Wisconsin Agri-Business Committee is a part of the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The group also presented awards to several of the area's top high school seniors for their work in agriculture.
