Owen City Council Approves Amendments to ATV Ordinance

-The Owen City Council approved amendments to the city’s ATV ordinance at their meeting on Tuesday.A copy of Ordinance Title 10 Chapter 4 was presented to the Council, showing areas that were eliminated and added to. One addition was made in Sec. 10-4-4 (3) adding at the end of the paragraph “or display a slow moving vehicle sign." The council then approved the amendments.
The council heard the CDC’s Report at their meeting as well. Tim Swiggum reported that there is an interested party in the O.M.I. building and land. Negotiations are in the works and when this sale goes through, there will be a required closed session meeting. Goose permission slips are all gathered and the permit application has been sent in. The United Communities of Clark County is working on a new garbage/recycling contract as the current contract expires at the end of this year. Tim attended both the Ad-Hoc ATV Ordinance meeting and the Ordinance Committee meeting as well.
