Neillsville Graduate Doing Tours at NASA's Johnson Space Center, Part 2

Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 -- 11:32 AM

-A Neillsville graduate is making his community proud at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.

Nick Thoma is a 2013 graduate of Neillsville High School who’s currently attending UW-Madison and doing tours at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Nick said that his time in Houston has been a fantastic experience.

"It's been great. Definitely a change up from school. A good change up to come down and actually work on stuff. And I've been given a lot of responsibility too. I hadn't really experienced this in other internships that I've done in terms of the level of trust they put in you to do the work. Because they need help and for a limited budget, it's really great to be able to come down here and help out with, hopefully, moving the program a little faster and, hopefully, get these vehicles up and running."

Coming up on Wednesday, Nick will talk about how he ended up being a part of this program.
