Memorial Medical Center Holds EMS, Fire Fighters and Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner

-Memorial Medical Center held an EMS, Fire Fighters and Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner at the Neillsville American Legion on Sunday.In honor of EMS Appreciation Week this week, the 42nd year, MMC decided to hold the dinner in honor of all those who help keep our communities safe and healthy. Those in attendance, which included EMS, Fire Fighters and Law Enforcement Officers from Neillsville, Granton, and Loyal, heard from Dr. Sarah Holets and Dr. Sharon Hayward. They also enjoyed a delicious meal, skit and walked away with some great door prizes.
I spoke with Ryan Neville, CEO of Memorial Medical Center, and he explained why they decided to have this appreciation dinner this year.
"This is the least we can do to give back for the thousands of hours of volunteerism to keep us safe and as a hospital of the community, MMC is grateful that these folks step up every single day."
Mr. Neville explained that MMC has a very close working relationship with all the county EMS, Fire Fighters and Law Enforcement Agencies.
"Very close. Every EMS in this county probably comes to our door on occasion and they're apart of our team."
This was the first year MMC held the appreciation dinner, but they are committed to continuing it in the future to continue to show how much they, and the county and its residents, appreciate all the work EMS, Fire Fighters and Law Enforcement do.
"This is a commitment we're making from MMC that every year we'll commemorate the EMS. Hopefully, we'll get more and more attending. But we're very happy with what we can do today."
Once again this is the 42nd year for EMS Appreciation Week.
