Employment Matters at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board took care of employment matters at their meeting on Monday of last week.The board unanimously approved hiring Laura Koehler as the JV volleyball coach for the 2016 season. They also unanimously approved hiring Avery Seubert as the C-Team volleyball coach for the 2016 season. The student accident insurance was discussed as well. The District will see a considerable increase in premiums for the 2016-17 school year, but this is because the usage of the insurance for the past two years has far exceed the premiums the district has paid.
In the end, the board unanimously approved a policy with Student Assurance Services Inc. to provide their students accident insurance. The Board unanimously approved the non-athletic assignments for 2016-17. The board tabled the approval of the athletic coaching assignments until a review of head coaches evaluations could be made at the June meeting.
