Mosinee Woman Enters Plea for Stealing a Vehicle in Neillsville

-A Mosinee woman who stole a vehicle here in Neillsville back in November entered a plea in Clark County Court on Thursday.On Friday, November 27th, the Neillsville Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle from 103 Grand Avenue. The vehicle was a White 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. During the investigation, the department developed a suspect and learned they may be traveling to Mosinee. Their suspect was identified as Melissa Hilleman. The Marathon County Sheriff's Department was notified. On Sunday, November 29th, the Marathon County Sheriff's Department recovered the stolen vehicle from a private residence northwest of Mosinee. Evidence inside the vehicle linked Ms. Hilleman to the crime.
Hilleman pleaded guilty to two counts of taking and driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent and a charge of theft of moveable property. Another charge of theft of moveable property was dismissed and read in. No sentencing date has been set at this time, but Hilleman is scheduled for a bail/bond forfeiture hearing at the end of this month.
