Pittsville Man Enters Plea for Slamming into a Squad Car

-A Pittsville man who slammed into a squad car after he was pulled over in February of 2015 has entered a plea to the charges against him.Authorities were looking for Gary Schwenn of Pittsville. They had been asked to do a welfare check on Schwenn, but they were unable to locate him at his home. He was later spotted by authorities, but Schwenn stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road, reversed, and slammed into the squad car. He attempted to do it multiple times before he finally fled.
Schween was located and arrested. He was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, criminal damage to property and vehicle operator fleeing and officer. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and he’ll be sentenced in June.
