CDC's Report at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard the CDC’s report at their meeting last week.Tim Swiggum reported that the CCEDC Annual Meeting was held April 25th and was well attended by Owen & Withee Officials. Guest Speaker was Stephanie Klett, Secretary of the WI Dept. of Tourism. The Chamber meeting last Monday discussed the Curb Appeal Contest. They discussed the Cows that the City of Thorp has, and how they bring a lot of tourism in Thorp. They are searching for ideas for Owen & Withee to bring more Tourism to the communities.
He also stated that Quality Roasting is building another grain bin. Mike’s bar has an interested party and has applied for a liquor license which will be addressed at the next meeting. Parks & Rec. public informational meeting will be held May 3rd regarding the goose management. The horse shoe pits need to be built at their new location on the south side of the Master Packaging building.
