Marshfield's Growing Community Gardens

Marshfield area residents are welcome to register for garden bed space through Marshfield Clinic and Healthy Lifestyles-Marshfield Area Coalition’s Growing Together Community Gardens.Growing Together Community Gardens promotes and supports local food production, learning and sharing gardening techniques and provides a place to garden. Growing your own vegetables promotes healthier nutrition, reduces food costs, provides food security, fosters a community activity, reduces carbon footprint through local food production and provides physical and emotional wellness.
Garden beds are available at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (includes handicap accessible beds), St. Alban’s Ministry Center and First Presbyterian Church. Each bed is divided into 32 squares to support the square foot gardening technique used at all three sites. No garden experience is necessary. Gardeners are encouraged to make a $15 donation to help support the community gardens. A one-hour orientation session is required for all new gardeners. In addition, volunteer opportunities are available.
