Neillsville School Board Hears Administrators’ Reports, April

The Neillsville School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.

Elementary Principal Tim Rueth reported on attendance and the Reggie Dabbs presentation, May 11th is a scheduled late start, May 12th the fifth grade is going to UW Stevens Point Natural History Museum, April 21st, 26th, 28th and May 5th is the K5 Teddy Bear Clinic at MMC and May 27th is the 4K graduation. He also stated that on May 4th the third grade is going to the Fairgrounds for safety activities, May 10th the sixth grade is going to the Minnesota Science Museum, he discussed the King Arthur bread making demonstration and Grades 3-8 are taking State Assessments and the Forward Exam.

High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, scheduling updates for 2016-2017, the Reggie Dabbs presentation, high school physics class update, a BLAST update, a FFA update, May 5th the eighth graders are going to Career Venture in Eau Claire and Reality Store in the auditorium and on May 6th the seventh graders are going to the Festival of Nations in Minnesota. He also stated that May 31st is the eighth grade promotion ceremony, May 18th is the Academic Awards and Scholarships presentation, May 25th is the Senior banquet, May 28th is Graduation, the My Fair Lady high school musical and the State Forensics competition.

Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on a thank you card, the 2017 Medford legislative meeting, the hockey program, the submission of Civil Rights data, a letter supporting Workforce Resource, a letter from John King, the new Secretary of Education, an update on state education bills, area legislators and school funding, the referenda from the April 5th election and one Focus article.
