Neillsville School Board Approves Capstone Project

Thursday, April 21st, 2016 -- 8:14 AM

-The Neillsville School Board approved the spring Capstone Project request at their meeting on Monday.

Tom and Sheri Hickey requested to have the Capstone class replace the siding and windows on their home. District Administrator John Gaier said it would be a great project for the class leading up to the end of the school year. The board approved the request, but they made slight changes to the contract.

The board also approved the policies for their One-to-World technology program. This is the program that puts a computing device into the hands of all students. The policies are similar to the previous years with slight changes. There are also differences between grades as the lower elementary grades use iPads and the upper grades use Chromebooks. There was also a policy created for students who would like to bring their own devices.

The board also approved 4 donations including tissues from Brittany Lowry to the elementary, 3 bases for the softball field from the Booster Club and Youth Baseball Program, basketball training aids from the Basketball Booster Club and commercial time from Central Wisconsin Broadcasting for the Capstone Project.
