Mosiness Woman Involved with Neillsville Vehicle Theft Appears in Clark County Court for Return on Warrant

-A Mosinee woman who allegedly stole a vehicle here in Neillsville back in November appeared in Clark County Court on Thursday for a Return on Warrant.On Friday, November 27th, the Neillsville Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle from 103 Grand Avenue. The vehicle was a White 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. During the investigation, the department developed a suspect and learned they may be traveling to Mosinee. Their suspect was identified as Melissa Hilleman. The Marathon County Sheriff's Department was notified. On Sunday, November 29th, the Marathon County Sheriff's Department recovered the stolen vehicle from a private residence northwest of Mosinee. Evidence inside the vehicle linked Ms. Hilleman to the crime.
Ms. Hilleman has been charged in Clark Co. Circuit Court with one felony count of auto theft, one misdemeanor count of auto theft, and two misdemeanor counts of theft of movable property. Hilleman failed to appear in court on Thursday of last week. Her attorney said she didn’t have a reason why that was. However, she did say that Hilleman appeared at the courthouse on Wednesday thinking her hearing was that day instead of Thursday. During her appearance yesterday, the warrant was removed, her bond was reinstated, she has a status conference scheduled next week and a bail/bond forfeiture hearing scheduled in May.
