Black River Falls Man Sentenced for High Speed Chase

-A Black River Falls man has been sentenced for a high speed chase at the end of 2014.Back in December of 2014, 20-year-old Kegan Fogelson fled from authorities because he had a number of outstanding warrants against him. The pursuit began just before 9am and reached speeds of 100 miles an hour. Fogelson rammed a squad car during the chase and he was eventually caught on I-90 in Monroe County after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a guardrail east of Sparta.
Fogelson pleaded guilty to 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, two counts of vehicle operator fleeing an officer, criminal damage to property and speeding on a freeway. Five other charges were dismissed but read into the record and another charge was dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion. He was sentenced to 9 months in jail and 4 years of probation. He owes the courts $2,071.94.
