Greenwood Chamber Dinner Held Sunday

Tuesday, April 5th, 2016 -- 8:18 AM

-The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Dinner Meeting on Sunday at Parkway Pines.

It was a fun time for everyone as they enjoyed a delicious meal and listened to entertainment from 5 girls that are a part of Greenwood’s Jazz Choir. A brief meeting was held and new Chamber Board members were welcomed as outgoing members were thanked for their service. Peggy Nelner was recognized as the Citizen of the Year. She works at Nasonville, but also leases Parkway Pines Restaurant north of Greenwood. She’s also a member of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Board. Pat Lindner, Greenwood’s Chamber Director, said Peggy was most deserving of the award.

The featured business was Centuries on Main. Michelle Lucas and Tanya Wuethrich talked about the history of the business as they close in on their 10th anniversary soon. It was a big undertaking when they began, but the business is doing very well. New businesses in 2015 were recognized including Mainstreet Vintage, Madhouse Garage, Greenwood Academy and more. They also recognized new ownership of the Greenwood Bus Service and recognized Bruce Sautebin as he is retiring form the insurance game.
