Annual Report of Officers at Neillsville City Council Meeting, Part 1

Sunday, January 17th, 2016 -- 6:56 AM

-The Neillsville City Council not only heard the monthly Report of Officers at their meeting on Tuesday, but the Annual Report of Officers as well.

Neillsville's Police Chief, Scott Klueckmann, provided an annual report on his department for 2015. For 2015, the department had 1,905 complaints, 816 service calls, 816 traffic citations, 1,210 traffic warnings, 64 traffic crash investigations, 148 ordinance citations, 205 adult arrests, 59 cases referred to D.A. for charges, 83 juvenile cases and 421 parking citations.

A year to year comparison was also provided. The department saw a substantial increase in complaints. In 2013, they had 1,771. It went down in 2014 to 1,468, but climbed to 2015's 1,905. Chief Klueckmann stated that their department has been more rigorous in enforcement which would result in that kind of increase.
