Reports and More at the Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard reports, communications and more at their meeting on Tuesday.

The council heard the Public Works Report. The usual amount of work was done in the city including equipment maintenance, park and cemetery maintenance, hauled brush and compost, removed and stored Christmas decoration, snow and ice removal and more. It was also mentioned that some of Neillsville's downtown lights will be switched to LED lights and a rock was cleared from a pipe near Grand Avenue and 4th Street. It was causing some flooding issues.

The council also heard the Library Report. This was the meeting that recommended the council approve the hiring of Cara Hart. They also discussed an ongoing asbestos issue. Finally, Linda Garett was present to invite the council to a meeting next week on the revitalization of the former Methodist Church to a Cultural Arts Center and it was mentioned that members of Waupaca's Economic Development will be coming to Neillsville to learn more about the city, the Neillsville Improvement Corporation and the Connect Communities Program.
