Thursday, January 7th, 2016 -- 10:01 AM

-One of the people arrested in a drug bust in Owen at the end of October was sentenced in Clark County Court on Wednesday.

On Friday, October 30th, at about 7:40am, the Clark County Sheriff's Office with the Owen Police Department executed a search warrant at 504 N. Paul Ave. in the City of Owen. 37-year-old Brian R. Peo and 40-year-old Charles W. Lewallen were arrested as a result of the investigation. Brian and Charles also had warrants for their arrest.

Charles appeared in court yesterday. He was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession of methamphetamine and neglecting a child. A charge of maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of drug paraphernalia to manufacture methamphetamine in the presence of a child less than 14 years old were dismissed and read in. He owes the courts $352 and he was sentenced to 2 years' extended supervision and 3 years' probation. He also had an imposed and stayed prison sentence of 1 year and 6 months which means he'll serve that time if he fails at any conditions of his probation. As part of his probation, he was sentenced to 75 days in jail.
