The Highground Receives $2500 Donation

-Craig Stuttgen presented $2500 to Highground Volunteer Skip Klabon for the Second Annual Nick Stuttgen Memorial Ride that started and ended at the Colby VFW.The Highground thanks Craig, Rocky and all the other volunteer, riders and sponsors for their time and efforts for another successful fundraiser to honor Nick Stuttgen. This donation will help welcome our newest veterans' home through the construction of the bootprint, Wisconsin Persian Gulf Tribute. Dedication of the tribute will be July 23, 2016 with many other activities planned for the seven day event: "Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home", July 19-25, 2016.
The Highground does not receive any ongoing federal or state funding. It is a private corporation whose main source of income is the generosity of individuals and organizations such as this grass-roots event. The Third Annual Nick Stuttgen Memorial Ride is already being planned for September 2016. This is a great motorcycle ride (or bus ride for those not on motorcycles) where fun is had by all.
