Deferred Prosecution/Sentence for Grandmother of Spencer Woman Convicted in Murder-for-Hire Plot

Tuesday, November 10th, 2015 -- 9:32 AM

-A deferred prosecution/sentence was reached in the case involving the grandmother of a Spencer woman who was convicted of trying to hire someone to kill two people.

According to the Clark County Sheriff's Department, Shari Klimmer and Porscha Rizzi tried to hire someone to kill the fathers of Rizzi's two children. One condition of Rizzi's bond was that she was not allowed to have any contact with the victims in this matter, the fathers of her children. However, she recently mailed a letter and some pictures to her grandmother, 77-year-old Sharon Klimmer, who then sent them to the children. Rizzi had new charges of Violate Order/Intimidate Witness-Force filed against her and Sharon Klimmer did as well.

Back in October, an agreement was reached and Klimmer's charge was changed to contempt of court, disobeying an order. As long as Klimmer follows all conditions of bond present in Rizzi's case for 6 months, she will not be sentenced for the charge. As for the other two, Rizzi was sentenced to 7 months in prison and her mother, Shari Klimmer, was sentenced to 7 months in prison as well.
