Greenwood School Board Certifies Tax Levy

-The Greenwood School Board certified their tax levy at their meeting last week.The Board certified the tax levy at $13.06 per 1000 of assessed value for 2015-16. This is a .09 cent increase from last year. The 2015-16 Budget is also nearing completion.
In regards to employment, the board approved an adjusted employment contract for the Technology Assistant, they approved posting a temporary part-time Office Assistant Position and they increased substitute pay for office and food service to $10/hour.
Finally, the board took action to address a potential ACA discriminatory practice in regards to individual health care insurance plans, approved contracting with NEOLA, Inc. to review and update the School District Policy Manual, held the first reading on Policy 836.1 Fitness Center Usage regarding a proposed change in the fee structure and the board directed administration to put out a RFP for the District's annual auditing services.
