Black River Falls Man Involved with Neillsville High Speed Chase Appears in Court

Thursday, October 22nd, 2015 -- 12:39 PM

-A Black River Falls man arrested for a high speed chase with a Neillsville Police Officer appeared in Clark County Court on Wednesday.

Back in August, a Neillsville officer tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The chase began in the City of Neillsville and followed a series of roads to the west of Neillsville. The chase continued for over 11 miles and speeds of almost 90 miles an hour were reached. The Clark County Sheriff's Department assisted, trying to use a tire deflation device, but the suspect maneuvered around them. Eventually, the suspect, 24-year-old Aron Fogleson of Black River Falls, stopped on his own after several law enforcement agencies became involved.

Fogelson was arrested without incident and has been charged with Fleeing/Eluding an Officer, OWI (2nd Offense), Operating with a Revoked Driver's License, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Fogleson also had (3) active arrest warrants out of Jackson County. A preliminary hearing was waived and Fogleson stood mute, so a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. He also requested a substitution of judge.
