Neillsville City Council Hears Report of Officers

Wednesday, October 21st, 2015 -- 9:22 AM

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Report of Officers at their meeting last week.

Neillsville Police Chief Scott Klueckmann investigated a couple complaints about two Neillsville officers, but both of them were unfounded. He also stated that the department is going to be switching to interior lights on their squad car and they'll be purchasing them from a different company. The exterior lights on one of their cruisers failed due to moisture getting inside and corroding the lights. However, the company would not back their warranty so the Chief decided to make the switch.

It was also stated that the department has seen a significant rise in financial crimes, which are very time consuming, and some stolen property was recovered by officers in the city. One final item he mentioned was the toilet papering during homecoming. He said the department only had a few reports. He also said that he knows how frustrating that time of year is for the community, school and his officers, but as there was no property damage, he's going to count this year as a success.
