Clark County Tourism Meeting on Wednesday

-The Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau held their tourism meeting on Wednesday.They heard an update on their recently completed Harvest Moon Fall Tour. Around 35 shops were on the tour and they seemed to do well. There was a lot of excitement from shop keepers and the event attracted a different crowd than the CCEDC's Spring Arts Tour. They're working on some other items to add to the tour next year.
They also heard an update about things happening at the Clark County Fairgrounds and Bruce Mound, they heard about the Sherwood Dam and the dredging project and they began to discuss the work on the new county visitor's guide for next year.
Finally, they discussed the continued growth from the county sales tax, the county unemployment numbers and the use of social media for businesses, events and organizations.
