-A Black River Falls man charged with the death of a Black River Falls woman entered a plea in Jackson County Court on Tuesday.

According to a press release from the department, on May 17th, just before 11am, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office received an emergency 911 call regarding a single victim; unconscious and not responsive. The location of the emergency was at Vaudreuil Road in Black River Falls. Sheriff's Office deputies and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene. Once on scene, the deputy and EMS determined that 30-year-old Jacinda Muir was deceased.

23-year-old John Cook was arrested for the incident and charged with 1st degree intentional homicide. Court records indicate he stabbed Muir multiple times while he was high on meth. The two had gotten into an argument. He entered a not guilty plea in court on Tuesday. He has a $1 million bond set against him.
